including our 12th, probably annual, Yachats "la de da" Parade
at noon. Enjoy great food and music events all day.
At dusk watch a spectacular Fireworks Display
over the Yachats bay!

Parade Route:  This low-tech fun-filled Parade assembles at 11 a.m. behind the Yachats Commons on W 4th St and Hwy 101. At noon, the parade begins. It travels west on 4th St to Ocean View Dr, then south and east to Beach St, where it turns north and disperses just beyond the Yachats Post Office.
To Apply:  Please read the parade rules and complete and return the Yachats la de da application form. Click here or email info@yachats.org to request a form. Applications are accepted until July 3.
To Watch:   A great place to watch the parade is from the lawn at Yachats State Park at the west end of 2nd St. across from the ocean.

1st Annual Duck for Kids Race
2:00 p.m. Launching from the Yachats River Bridge,
one-half mile south of downtown Yachats.
1,000 Rubber Duckies will be dropped from the bridge to race down the Yachats River!
Watch from the beach below the bridge at Yachats Ocean Road State Park.
The first ducks across the finish line will win fantastic prizes.
You may sponsor a duck for $5 or 3 ducks for $10.

Scott Huckabay Concert, Yachats Commons Field, Hwy 101 & W 4th St.
7:30 p.m. Scott Huckabay, known fondly as the "guitar alchemist," will return to Yachats for a special outdoor concert to benefit the Yachats Youth & Family Activities Program (YYFAP), a nonprofit organization offering affordable youth programs, classes and activities. Tickets are $7 in advance ($10 on the day of the show) and free to children 12 and under. Festival seating will provide a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, with the performance wrapping up in time to enjoy the fireworks display. Tickets will soon be available at the Yachats Visitors Center, 241 Hwy 101, 541-547-3530; Chuck's Waldport Video, 520 Commercial St, 541-563-4898; and area hotels and restaurants. Tickets will also be available during the Yachats Fourth of July parade and festivities. (In the event of inclement weather, the concert will move indoors).
