Galleries Open House
Earthworks, Wave & Touchstone galleries invite you to their seventh annual Holiday Open House. The galleries are located at the north edge of town, 2118 & 2222 Hwy 101.

Small Business Saturday is all about celebrating "Main Street." Dozens of businesses across Yachats are hosting this holiday open house and shopkeepers have a variety of fun activities planned. Photos with Santa will be offered from 11 am to 2 pm during Santa's first stop in Yachats this year. Throughout the day at designated businesses you'll find free arts and crafts activities, as well as food and wine tastings. Shoppers can take advantage of discounts, specials, give-aways, and the third annual "Yachats Shoppers' Holiday Raffle" (see below FMI). There will also be drop-off points for Yachats Food Bank donations and a community toy drive. Click for details.

  Yachats Shoppers' Holiday Raffle Receive a free raffle ticket for every $10 you spend at participating businesses between November 29 and December 24 in Yachats. The drawing for prizes will be held December 27 at Bank of the West. You need not be present to win. Please support our local businesses this holiday season!

Lunch on Saturday with famous Ladies Club Pies. Quilt raffle drawing at 2:00 pm on Sunday. Yachats Ladies Clubhouse, W 3rd and Pontiac.

Enjoy warm drinks and treats and performances by local musicians. Santa Claus will be there, and Oregon State Parks volunteers will offer historic tours of the lighthouse. There will be a holiday raffle with great prizes from local businesses. Shuttle service will be offered from Heceta Head Lightstation State Scenic Area parking lot to the front door. Or bring warm, rainproof clothing and a flashlight and enjoy a beautiful walk up from the parking lot/beach. The parking fee is $3 or present your Oregon Coast Passport.   6:00 - 8:00 pm  Family Dinner and Ornament Making Night  The Yachats Youth & Family Activities Program (YYFAP), in partnership with Yachats Community Presbyterian Church, invites families to join together at the church, 360 W 7th St, for a delicious dinner hosted by the church followed by holiday-themed crafts tables hosted by the YYFAP, and then a tree decorating.   10:00 am - 1:00 pm  4th annual New Year's Peace Walk
Start the new year on the right foot! Join the Yachats Trails Committee and fellow trekkers for an invigorating 6-mile round trip walk from the Commons to the Amanda trail and statue where the group will offer blessings for peace in the New Year. Hikers will then be invited to walk or shuttle back to the Commons for refreshments and to collect a commemorative Peace Hike button. In the event of heavy rain or wind, a shorter hike on an alternative route will take place. Dress for changeable weather, wear sturdy shoes and bring walking sticks if you have them. The hike will be on both paved and narrow dirt trail surfaces with some stairs and moderate inclines. For more information, contact Lauralee Svendsgaard at 541.547.3640 or lsven@peak.org.
