This trail connects the Cape Perpetua Visitors Center to Gwynn Creek Trail and is 1 mile long. It is an easy trail with minimal elevation change. Ecosystems: Very dense sitka spruce forest with little understory shrubs/herbs, and occasional sunny open patches of salal Fungi that may be encountered: Prince (Agaricus augustus), Amanita pantherina and other Amanita spp. (poisonous), Oyster (Pleurotus ostreatus), non-edible bolete (Telopilus spp.), Lobster (Hypomyces lactiflorum), Short-stemmed Russula (Russula brevipes), Shrimp (Russula xerampelina), Rosy russula (Russula rosaceae, toxic), False matsutake a.k.a. Cat's Paw (Catathelasma ventricosa), Golden Chanterelle (Cantharellus cibarius), Angel wings (Pleurocybella porrigens), Hedgehog (Hydnum repandum), Naematoloma fasciculare (poisonous), False Chanterelle (Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca, toxic).
