Unusual Mushroom Recipe Contest - Starting October 1
Who's got the most unique and unusual mushroom recipe? Drop off your recipe at Yachats or Waldport Clark's Markets (Oct. 1 - Oct. 16). Winner to be announced on Sunday, October 17th. Judges are representatives from Ostrom's Mushroom Farm, Chef John Ullman of Bonaventura Catering, and Unified Grocers' Mushroom Buyer and produce managers.Winner receives a gourmet gift basket of mushroom products.

Provided by the Lincoln County Mycological Society, the North American Truffling Society, and Cascade Mycological Society. (Free admission.)
