Karen Tate earned her B.S. in Botany from Oregon State University (with honors) and has worked with Environmental Consultants Oregon leading botany and fungal survey efforts. Karen is a valued member of the Cascade Mycological Society, leading membership and retail sales at its annual mushroom show and guiding fungal forays. Currently, Karen is working toward a Veterinarian Technician degree at Portland Community College.
