Jim Bowers is a resident naturalist who has been involved in natural history research and teaching on the central Oregon coast for the past 29 years. He assisted Marla Gillham in the coordination of the education program of this festival in 2000 and 2001 and has scouted trails and led guided walks every year of the festival.

Jim is also exceptionally articulate. So we were not surprised last year when another walk leader reported to us that she followed Jim around to listen not only to what he said but to the magnificent way he said it.
